Mother's Day is one of the biggest events on a florist’s calendar. The shop is buzzing, orders are flying in, and emotions are high, but once the last bouquet has been delivered and the petals settle, there’s one crucial task left:
Review your numbers.
As tempting as it is to breathe a sigh of relief and move on, this is the most important time to stop, reflect, and document EVERYTHING while it’s still fresh in your mind.
Here’s why it matters:
When you take the time to evaluate what worked (and what didn’t), you’re setting yourself up for a smoother, smarter, and more profitable Mother’s Day next year. The notes and insights you capture now will become your roadmap for success.
What you should be recording:
Best sellers: What products flew out the door?
Slow movers: What didn’t sell as well as expected?
Profit margins: Which products or packages gave you the best return?
Sales performance: Did you hit your goals or fall short? Calculate the percentage increase or decrease in sales compared to last year.

Once you have all this information, use it to set meaningful goals for next year:

Stock and supply ordering limits
Turnaround times for pre-orders and delivery
Customer satisfaction benchmarks
By setting these KPIs NOW, you’re not only building a stronger business, you’re saving yourself time, stress, and money in the future.
